How to Earn PDUs

Professional Development Units (PDUs) are required for certification renewal for both Project Management Professionals (PMPs) and Program Management Professionals (PgMPs). Each certified professional must earn 60 PDUs in a 3-year certification cycle.

Effective March 1, 2011, the Project Management Institute (PMI) modified the categories for earning PDUs. PMI developed two documents to help credential holders understand the changes.
